Welcome to our profile!
Hello, we hope this will provide you with a little insight of what your child's life might be like if you decide to move forward with an adoption plan with us. We are Charles (Chad) and Alexandria. We've been married since 2002 but together since 1999. As luck would have it, our paths first crossed while we were working at neighboring companies, Chad as a research engineer in the biotech field, and Alexandria as a marketing coordinator. Our companies have since parted ways, but we have not. Chad has been at his company for over eleven years now. Alexandria is now working as a customer service rep but hopes to become a stay-at-home mom with our children. |

About Us We are two very adventurous spirits! In our spare time we enjoy taking in nature's finest, be it through hiking, kayaking, golfing, traveling or just spending quality time together. Last summer we took to the air with a once-in-a-lifetime skydiving trip. It was something that we had both always dreamed of doing and were delighted we could experience it together. In the winter we like to escape the cold to Florida visiting Chad's parents (who also like to escape the cold!). There's nothing like seeing baseball and playing a round or two of golf in March. Disney is not too far around the corner either, and we look forward to making family memories there one day. |

Alexandria (as described by Chad) So, let me tell you a little about Alexandria. I still vividly remember the first time I saw her, walking into her first day of work, giggling at something my future sister-in-law had said. We didn't make eye contact that day, or for some time afterwards, but I think then and there something told me she was going to be my life partner. Eight months later we were dating, and three and a half years after that we were married. What attracted me to Alexandria I can't say for sure but it could have been a case of "opposites attract". She has that bubbly, outgoing type of personality with an infectious laugh, while I tend to be a bit reserved. I found out the day I met her mother where she gets both those traits from. Still, it wasn't too far into our relationship that I realized how much alike we are. At the beach or in the mountains, she really enjoys the beauty of being outdoors. The quality that amazes me about Alexandria has always been her patience with kids. She has been a great aunt to her two nephews and niece. Whether going down the slip-n-slide, rolling down hills, or building (and sleeping in) an air mattress super fort to alleviate a 6-year old's fear of sleeping away from home, she really enjoys every minute. Being a mom is what she was born to do. |

Chad (as described by Alexandria) Chad is the funniest, most thoughtful man I have ever met. His sense of humor was one of the qualities that most attracted me to him. He is always able to make me laugh. When he is goofing around with the kids you can see his inner child come out and it's then that I know one day he is going to make an amazing dad. He is always willing to help someone when they need it, whether it's helping his dad with a home improvement project (tiling, plumbing, electrical, you name it), fixing a video game system for our 6 year-old nephew, or opening and closing my mom's pool, he is there to lend a hand. Chad is one of those people that will always find a kind word to say about a person. Over the years he has taught me to believe that no matter how bad things may seem at the time they will always get better. Chad has a natural ability with children in that he can tell when they need to be challenged or when they just need a little encouragement. I attribute this to his upbringing. His parents did a wonderful job instilling strong family and moral values into him and this is something I am certain he will do for his child. |

Our Family Our families lived just a couple of towns away from each other, but we never crossed paths until our meeting at work. Chad comes from a family of four which includes his mother, father and older sister, Deanna. We see them quite often. Alexandria is the second youngest of a clan of four. She has an older sister, Michelle, an older brother, Michael, and a younger brother Johnny. Michelle has a son Mikey - It's always great to catch one of his varsity baseball games. It doesn't seem too long ago that he couldn't catch Uncle Chad's fastball. Now it is Uncle Chad that can't catch his! Michael and his wife Shannon have a son Tommy and a daughter Nikki. They are both at that age where they are learning a lot. It's rewarding to think they might be acquiring some life lessons from us. Alexandria's brother John is really great with our niece and nephews and we know one day he will do the same with ours. Alexandria's mom is an amazing woman. It seems that she tires her grandchildren out before they can tire her out. Alexandria's extended family is quite large - first cousins are like brothers and sisters and distant cousins are like first cousins in her family. Most still live in the area and it seems there is always an excuse for a family gathering, whether it is a birth, a marriage, or another graduation. Chad's family is tight-knit. They would always be sure to take a yearly family vacation. The fondest memory Chad has from his childhood was taking a six-week cross-country road trip. If you've ever seen the movie "Vacation", well they were the Griswolds. Chad hopes to repeat this trip sometime in the future, this time in the role of the dad. It's amazing the places you get to see and visit by car the Grand Canyon, Lincoln's birthplace, Mount Rushmore (a must see) and even a house made of corn. This cross-country trip also gave them the chance to catch up with their father's west coast roots. |

Home Shortly after we got married we bought a new house in a very family-oriented neighborhood which is close to the local park. It is not uncommon to hear the neighborhood kids outside playing from our back deck. It is a nice quiet road - something that we had always desired in a house to raise a family. We must admit, our yard is not that great for sledding, yet perfect for building snowmen, snow forts, or just running and rolling around in the grass. |

Thanks Thank you for taking the time to review our profile. We hope that should you decide to move forward on an adoption plan with us as the adoptive parents that you somehow find comfort knowing that we will provide your child a loving nurturing environment in which to grow up.
