Welcome to our profile!
Hi, we are Andrew and Heather. Although we've never been in your shoes, we know that you must be a courageous person trying to figure out what's best for you and your baby. We appreciate the care and thoughtfulness you bring to this difficult exploration and we trust that whatever you choose, it will be the right decision for you. If you do choose an adoption plan, and would consider us as adoptive parents, we want you to know that we would treasure your baby and be committed to providing a loving, nurturing and safe home for him or her. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you through words and pictures. We hope that this gives you a sense of who we are and the types of parents we would be. We are grateful that you're taking the time to consider us. |

Our Home: We live in a small town in New England. We like the quiet and simplicity of life here and appreciate the neighborliness of our community. We live 10 minutes from the elementary school (where Andrew worked a few years ago). Right down the road, we have a dairy farm and a horse farm and a lake 5 minutes away where we go to cool off in the summer. We're also happy to have a small city close by (the State capital), where there's lots to do. We built our own home (with help from friends and family), which is surrounded by 5 acres of gardens, fields and woods lots of room to run and play. We love our life here and wish for the opportunity to share it with a child. We look forward to providing nurturance and love, along with discovering the child's unique self. |

Meet Andrew. From Heather, 'When I first met Andrew, I admired his ability to think for himself, his independent spirit, and his sense of humor, which kept me laughing. He's dedicated to his relationships and his values and is in the right field because he's non-judgmental and a good listener. I also admire that he's open to learning and taking on new challenges. My Job: I work as a counselor in a community clinic. I enjoy working with people and have been doing this work for several years. It's very rewarding to be able to help people to sort through problems and work through their challenges. I often feel honored to be part of that process. "Andrew enjoys being outside, working on projects on our land and around the house, reading, listening to and playing music, and writing." -- Heather |

Get to know Heather. From Andrew, "Heather is the most caring, compassionate and loving person I know. When we first met, I was taken with her combination of integrity and wisdom, along with her playfulness and ability to have fun. Whenever I have watched her around children, I've been impressed by her ability to connect with them and gain their trust quickly. I feel very lucky to have Heather as my wife. I feel especially fortunate now, because I know what a wonderful mother she will make." My Job: I have worked in child care for several years with children from six weeks up to ten years old. The joy of being with children and cheering them on as they grow is why I do my work. "Heather is most content when she's outside working in our garden, playing with our dog, Rico, or sharing an afternoon with her young friends." -- Andrew |

We love being outside and enjoy... |

Spending time with family & friends We have a large extended family who are a big part of our lives (and who are very excited that we want to add another member). We visit each other often and share vacations and holidays. Andrew's sister and brother-in-law have adopted two children and they are looking forward to having a niece or nephew who will be part of their children's lives. Heather has many nieces and nephews, who she's proud of. Our friends are also an important part of our lives and we consider them family. |
