What does FIA mean by “inclusiveness”?

Friends in Adoption is a fully inclusive agency

Friends in Adoption is a fully inclusive agency

First and foremost, inclusiveness means that Friends in Adoption (FIA) respects all members of the adoption circle and does not discriminate against prospective birth or adoptive family members on the basis of race, ethnicity, marital status, age, religion, physical disability, income, sexual orientation, or gender identity/ expression.

Inclusiveness means treating all people with equality. It means that in the circle of adoption, birth or first parents are respected as equal to adoptive parents. It means that among prospective adoptive parents, same sex couples, singles, and heterosexual couples are respected as equally eligible to become qualified adoptive parents. We respect the uniqueness of each individual and welcome diversity within the circle of adoption!
