    The Adoption Process with FIA

Starting the adoption process with FIA is easy.
Everyone begins by first registering and attending one of our Get Acquainted Workshops. These weekend workshops are where you learn everything about adoption and FIA. Click here to visit the Get Acquainted Workshops page.

FIA offers comprehensive support for prospective adoptive couples, singles and families including home study and post-placement services, counseling and exposure to pregnant women/couples. In all cases, the adopting couple has to complete a home study process which includes post-placement follow-up. The adoptive single/couple pays for all the adoption related expenses incurred by the pregnant woman/couple, including legal and medical expenses, counseling expenses, and, if need be, living and traveling expenses as approved by law.
