Hello, we are David and Bobbi-Jo. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We feel that you are amazing with so much love for your baby and have the greatest respect for you. We have a huge open place in our hearts waiting for a child to fill it. We are excited about fulfilling our lifelong dream of becoming parents and are thrilled that you would consider allowing us to welcome your baby into our lives. We can provide your child with a secure, loving home and family and a good spiritual and moral foundation to become a self confident, caring individual.

About Us

We’ve been together for several years and married over eight. We instantly became best friends and have created a deeply loving marriage built upon respect, honesty and trust. We’ve overcome personal challenges together and it’s made us stronger as individuals and as a couple. We have a lot in common and love to spend our free time together, whether it’s a night at the race track, gardening at home, fishing on our boat or snuggled up on a cold winter evening watching our favorite TV shows and eating popcorn. We both like to travel, most winters we escape the cold and vacation in Florida and every August we rent a cottage on a lake. We long for the day that our child will be able to experience the joys of Disney World and camp with us. During the summer we spend one night a week at the local race track watching David race his stock car. Racing has been one of our hobbies that we both enjoy and we are very excited to have another little fan cheering on “daddy” when he or she is old enough to attend.

Our Home

We live in a great community: quiet, wide open fields and plenty of wildlife. We are only a few minutes from town but it feels like we are miles away. On clear days, you can see 40 miles of the beautiful Green Mountains. We have a great school system in our town. It’s the same school that we attended. It will be nice that we are familiar with the school that our child will attend. We built a cozy, Cape Cod style home that is nestled on top of a hill with 6 private acres. It gives us plenty of land to build a play set and a great place to raise a family. We knew it was the perfect place. We put our heart and soul into making a new house into an old style country home where our children can be raised. We can’t wait to have our vision of our children playing around the house or running through the field to their cousins’ house become a reality. Our families spend lots of time at our home; we love having them over for dinner or just to hang out. There are many summer evenings spent sitting on the front porch watching the sunset against the mountains. We also spend hours tending to the flower and vegetable gardens around the house and one can usually find Dave in the garage working on the race car. We can’t wait for the day to hear little foot steps running around the house.

About David

I fell in love with David on our very first date. His honesty, thoughtfulness and charming sense of humor told me I was going to marry him. He is always there for me, my family or even someone he barely knows. It would be nothing for him to stop what he is doing to help one of my brothers with a project. He has one of the kindest hearts of anyone I have ever met. David works as a field technician on earth moving equipment for a well known company. He has been very successful at his job, mostly because he is smart and people trust him right away. He is an extremely hard worker. When David sets his mind on something he accomplishes it beyond anyone’s expectations. He enjoys fishing, gardening, woodworking, stock car racing but most of all spending time with me and our family. Ever since we started dating, he has always talked about having children. He is great with kids. When my cousins were young David was known as the “jungle gym” and still is to our nephew and niece. Children are so comfortable with him. I love the sparkle in David’s eyes the most, when he is playing with the kids. David’s great qualities will make him an exceptional father. He takes great care of me and will do the same for our child. I can’t wait to see the look on David’s face when he holds our child for the first time.

About Bobbi-Jo

Bobbi and I grew up together as friends and not long after dating I knew we were meant for one another. Her dedication to family and thoughtful attitude are her most endearing qualities. Bobbi always adds a personal touch to special occasions for family or friends that makes them extra special. She is honest, caring and highly organized. Her organizational skills are one reason she is successful in her professional life as a manager of conference services at a local college. Bobbi is a wonderful homemaker and has transformed our house into a warm and inviting home. Most of her free time is spent with me and her niece and nephew. Aunt Bobbi has a special place in both their lives. Camden the oldest nephew often seeks comfort in Aunt Bobbi’s caring arms. She has always had a natural ability to provide that soothing comfort only a mother can provide, whether it is with our friends’ children or with our niece and nephew. I am a lucky man to have Bobbi as my wife and any child will be blessed to have her as their mom.

Our Family

Our family is a huge part of our lives; we spend lots of time with them. Bobbi’s family is close by: “Grandma and Grandpa” live a quarter of a mile down the road and can’t wait to be grandparents again, her brother and his family live just behind us and her youngest brother and his fiancé live just 2 miles away. Our Nephew loves to play baseball and hockey with us. While one of us is playing with him the other is entertaining our niece so we are the most experienced aunt and uncle you can imagine. David’s family lives a little further to our North: his parents are 1 ½ hours away on a large lake and are very excited to become grandparents for the first time. It will be a great memory for our child to spend summer days at the lake with “Grandma and Grandpa”. Dave’s sister, brother and their families live a short drive from us and we see them often. Our family is our foundation and it is very important for us to spend as much time with them as we can, especially during holidays and family birthdays. In addition to our families, we have a close circle of friends, many of them with young children. Our family and friends are supportive of our decision to adopt and are excited for us to experience, with them, all the joys of parenthood.

Incredible moment meeting our niece Avery for the first time

We knew we wanted to start a family once we were married and believe parenting a child will be one of the greatest joys of life. Our years together have strengthened our relationship and we are closer than ever as we begin our adoption journey. We can’t wait to become parents, and for the opportunity to share our love, stability and happiness with a child. We strongly believe the child meant to be with us will find his or her way into our lives. We hope you find inner peace in the knowledge that the life growing inside you will be loved and cherished. If you would like to learn more about us, we welcome you with an open heart to call Friends In Adoption at this toll free number 1-800-844-3630.
