| About
Us A mutual friend introduced us and we realized very soon that we had lots
of common interests – including both being teachers.Very naturally our friendship
turned into a relationship. During this time we enjoyed traveling – spending time
in California, Florida, the Dominican Republic and taking a cruise to Nova Scotia. |
|
In 2002 we celebrated our commitment ceremony with our family, friends and
colleagues. We have been very lucky to be surrounded by such love and support from
everyone during the course of our relationship. | Fishing

 | Hi
– I’m Tom! I was born and raised on Long Island my entire life. I am an only child
and come from a loving and supporting family. My parents and family members live
close to us and we try to spend as much time together as we can. I am currently
a fourth grade teacher and have enjoyed teaching for many years.Being a teacher
has been the best decision I have ever made. It brings such joy to my life! I
look forward to passing on family traditions and teaching experiences to our own
child. |
Tom
by Carl Tom has so many characteristics that will make him a great father.
He has an amazing generosity and commitment towards others. Tom is always happy
to give his time, resources, emotional support, and physical strength to help
his friends and family. He enjoys bonding with his students. You’re likely to
find Tom eating with his students during lunchtime or running on the field playing
soccer, kickball, or tag during recess. He has a great ability to capture the
imaginations of children that I really admire. Tom could figure out a way to entertain
and amaze a child with a rock and a box of toothpicks. He’s that good! Tom is
also very protective of those that he cares about. When you’re around him you
feel safe. | Mia

|
Tom enjoys laughter. He loves to say and do silly things. Tom will suddenly
appear from a bathroom with one of those plastic shower caps on his head acting
like it is the most normal thing in the world just to make people smile. I’m always
wondering what will come next. |
All
of Tom’s characteristics are going to fill a child’s life with unconditional love
and support, lots of play and laughter, and a sense of safety and security. Mr.W’s

 Yes!
I finally got my board!
| Hi
- I’m Carl! I was born and raised in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. I have a fraternal
twin brother named Mark. I also have a stepbrother named Andy and stepsister named
Ali. My family lives in Connecticut and Massachusetts so we make frequent visits
to New England. I have been teaching for six years and love working with children.Teaching
has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. I feel so lucky to have
a career where I can help children grow. Nothing feels better than knowing you
have made a student feel special and important. |
Carl
by Tom When I met Carl I knew that he had all the qualities I was searching
for in a partner. I was drawn in by his genuine concern for his friends and family
and his ability to easily show how much he cares for others. A day doesn’t go
by that he hasn’t told someone that he loves him or her. |

| Carl
is a great listener. He is always willing to lend an ear. His willingness to listen
and show genuine concern often leads people in his direction and will definitely
be wonderful when raising a child. He loves to try new things and enjoys sharing
new experiences with others. |
He
has prompted us to get our real estate licenses and begin surfing – two things
I never thought I would do! I can’t wait to watch him spark new interests with
our children and provide them with the confidence of trying new things as they
grow! |

patience, respect for others and genuine ability to show love will make him a
wonderful father. Everything about him that continues to make me smile and his
ability to unconditionally love will definitely make our child lucky to have him
in their life. |

Home
Our home is a comfortable Victorian
style in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood on Long Island. We have really
enjoyed making our new house into a “home.” |
 Our
Home
|

| We
love our location for many reasons. Long Island has great schools and so much
to offer. We are five minutes down the road from a great beach and wildlife preserve
where we enjoy spending lots of time. The excitement and culture of New York City
is only a 45-minute drive and we can easily hop onto a ferry to Connecticut for
visits to Carl’s family in CT and MA. |
|
We have a great front and backyard for children to run around and
play. Recently, we had a beautiful deck built off the back of our home and it
is always full of family, friends and fun!
|
 Hi,
I'm Oliver. I love living here!
|
 Our
beach is great for making sandcastles
| It’s
great both being teachers! We only work 20 minutes from home and combined with
paternal leave, holidays, winter/spring breaks and summers off – it will allow
us to spend plenty of quality time with our children (we would eventually like
two). It also allows us the opportunity to give all the attention, love and nurturing
we have to give. The future Grandma’s and Grandpa’s can’t wait to help too! |
| Family
We are blessed to have so many wonderful and supportive friendships – a combination
of friends we both grew up with and new friendships we’ve encountered together.
There is a certain comfort in knowing you have such wonderful friends to count
on. Watching new families grow has been a blessing all in itself. Being surrounded
by our friend’s children has only reinforced our desire and commitment to start
our own family. |
