Thanks for taking the time to read our profile. We understand that thinking
about an adoption plan for your child is not easy, and that the decision you are
facing right now demands a tremendous amount of courage which stems from the love
you feel for your child. We hope that the information we are providing gives you
a sense of who we are and the type of home and family life we can offer. We thank
you for considering us as prospective parents for your child. |

| A Little
Bit About Us… We have been together in a loving and caring relationship
for several years now.We are the best of friends, enjoy many of the same things
in life, and share a similar value system. We love, respect and support each other
on every level. |
We
have built a solid relationship based on honesty and commitment and we are now
ready to expand our family. Having a child has been a life-long dream that we
pray will become a reality through this adoption process. We are crazy
about children and would love the opportunity to become parents ourselves. We feel
that building our family through an open and compassionate adoption is the right
choice for us. We want our child to know where they have come from and will be
happy to include our baby’s birth mother as a loving part of our extended family,
if you so choose. | Sightseeing

We come from very close-knit families and adore all of our thirteen nieces
and nephews. Being a part of these children’s lives has always been important
to us – and we have been privileged to spend a lot of time with them. They range
in age from 18 months to 20 years. Most of the children are still very young (11
of them are 8-years-old or under), which makes for lots of fun when we get together!
|
Family-oriented…
Chris is the godmother to three (Patrick, Katie and Will), and Deb is the
godmother to Christopher. We feel honored to have been chosen for this role, and
take the responsibility seriously. All thirteen of the children know how much
we love them (we tell them all the time!) and know that we will always be there
for them. | Chris

& nephew Christopher
| We are both
very family-oriented, and have lots of experience with children. We often have
the pleasure of caring for our nieces, nephews, and friends’ children and have
participated with them in school programs and extra-curricular activities. We
are also experts at throwing children’s parties! |
We were both raised with a strong sense of family and togetherness, and we appreciate
how important a good home life is. Our families have always been a source of strength
for us and continue to provide us with love and support. | Chris

| Through
our families we have learned the power of faith and prayer, the rewards of unconditional
love, the importance of integrity, and the warmth of compassion. These are a few
of the core values we wish to teach our child. |
Our
families... Chris comes from a very close family, and is one of five kids.
Chris and her sister, Jeanne, and brothers Bill (Chris’ twin), Tom and Jim have
always been inseparable. They genuinely enjoy spending time together as a family,
and are the best of friends. As kids, family time often included games
of touch football, whiffle ball, or playing “Marco-Polo” in the pool. As adults,
these games continue – but with lots of little ones now added to the teams! As
the family continues to grow, our love, laughter and the good times we share keep
multiplying. We make every occasion we’re together a special one – and typically
have a funny story to tell afterwards. | Deb's
Family
|
 Chris'
Family
| Deb is one of three
children, and also has very close ties to her father Lenny, sister Donna, and
brother Lenny. Over the years we have created family traditions that we all hold
dear to our hearts, including family camping/rafting trips, weekend trips to Papa’s
second home in the Poconos, summer backyard BBQ’s, as well as our annual children’s
Halloween party (last year’s party marked the 16th annual Halloween party). We
always have fun together and have enjoyed many happy times. We love spending
holidays and birthdays together as a family which we celebrate in grand fashion
sharing a whole bunch of love. Sadly, both of our mothers recently passed
away. They were wonderful moms and excellent role models. We look forward to keeping
their memories alive by nurturing our own child with the same kind of love and
support we received. Our families completely support our decision to expand
our family through open adoption and eagerly await the arrival of the newest member
to join in the family fun. |
About
our home... We live on Long Island, in Chris’s childhood home with her father,
Bill. He is a wonderful grandfather who loves spending time with his grandchildren.
He often accompanies the kids to after-school activities (i.e. soccer, gymnastics,
swimming lessons, etc.) and loves to laugh and play games with them. He is very
excited about our desire to adopt and is looking forward to the sounds of laughter
and joy that a new baby will bring to our home. | Chris

home is spacious with plenty of room for a child to run, play and grow. We have
a large fenced in backyard with beautiful gardens, a pool, and lots of space for
a swing set.We have a bright and sunny room all ready to be converted into a nursery.
We already have a play room all set up and in use by our nieces and nephews.

| Within a few miles of our home
we have wonderful ocean beaches, well-maintained county parks with ball fields,
excellent hills for sledding, and great nature trails for hiking (or finding rocks,
bugs, and lizards as our nephews would say!). |

Long Island is a great place to live and raise a family. We live in a quiet
and friendly neighborhood with lots of small children, and an excellent school
system. | Chauncey

| Our home is also conveniently
located close to New York City, and we take advantage of the many cultural activities
it offers. We look forward to taking our child to see Broadway shows, visit famous
landmarks (Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Plaza, etc.),
dine in great restaurants, tour world-renowned museums, and visit Central Park
and the Bronx Zoo. |

About
our work and interests... We are both licensed massage therapists and run
our own massage therapy practice on Long Island. Our company is lovingly dedicated
to the memory of Chris’ brother, Jim, who died in the World Trade Center attack
on September 11th. It is our hope that through our work we are able to bring the
peace, comfort and joy that Jim brought to so many people during his lifetime.

| We
work with individuals and companies to provide stress/pain relief and enhance
well-being. We also do a significant amount of work with several charitable organizations
to help them in their fund-raising efforts. Because we are self-employed, we have
a lot of flexibility in our work hours. We intend to coordinate our schedules so
that one of us will always be home to care for our child. |
We
love the change of seasons and take full advantage of the outdoors. Activities
we enjoy together include traveling, camping, swimming, hiking, biking, gardening,
and sleigh riding. Deb is also a great cook, and loves to barbeque. Chris is a
runner and has participated in many races, including eight marathons throughout
the country. Chris also loves to bake and cannot wait to carry on the tradition
of baking Christmas cookies for our families and friends with our child. | Deb
