We would like to thank
you for taking the time to read this letter and even consider us as potential
parents for your baby. We can only imagine what a difficult time this is for you.
There is probably nothing we can say to make it easier except that we know whatever
decision you make for your baby will be the right one for both of you. |
 | About
Us We are two very fun loving people who have been in a committed relationship
for several years. During our time together we've always talked about sharing
our fun spirit with a child. We're emotionally, mentally and financially ready
to bring a child into our lives and look forward to having a house filled with
the laughter of a child. |
Our
lives are filled with friends and children. They probably represent every definition
of “family.” Some of our closest friends fall within the more “traditional” definition
of a man and a woman with two kids. Others are single moms with both birth and
adopted children and others are gay couples with both infants and older children.
| |
 | The
one thing that all of these families share is love and a commitment to putting
the happiness and health of their children as the most important thing in their
lives. We get together often and our homes and yards are filled with laughter
and joy. Our friends and their children are eagerly awaiting the addition to our
family. |
We
enjoy tickling our nephew, introducing our friend's newly adopted baby to our
dog, feeding the baby, and gardening. | |

is a funny, loving, free spirit. She is great with kids and loves all animals.
Her love of the outdoors will make her a great teacher of the importance of Mother
Nature and of the environment. |
Lisa
works in Communications at a local health care company. Her workplace gives her
a lot of flexibility to be available for our future children. |

she is a great cook! |

Our
Home
Our

Our
niece and her friend trick or treating at our house on Halloween | We
live in a wonderful neighborhood in a great city in New England. There are two
great playgrounds within walking distance of our house and great schools where
we would hope to send our kids. Both of our families live nearby, and we're very
close with them. |
Our
neighbors, family and friends are equally as excited to have us adopt as we are.
In fact, one of our neighbors is an artist and she already said she would paint
the baby's room for us. They can't wait for us to start a family and you should
know that your baby will be loved by so many kinds of people; gay, straight, old,
young, and different cultural backgrounds. We really value the differences in
people because we know what it's like to feel different sometimes. |
Two great playgrounds... |

...are
within walking distance from our house | Our
house is very warm and inviting. We have a great yard for kids to play in, chase
the dogs, and or just rock on the hammock. We've tried to get ready for children
by putting in a playroom downstairs and giving them plenty of room to run around. |
Our
Families We both come from big Italian families who fortunately live nearby.
We spend weekends and holidays together and occasionally we will take a fun trip
together. |

of our families are looking forward to welcoming another member to our family. |

Gordon
& Gus Gordon and Gus are our two pugs. They are seven and four years old.
They are so funny and loving towards all kids that visit our home. |
|

| They
are looking forward to eating some (or all) of the food the baby drops on the
floor. We love them very much and cannot wait to share them with our children. |

Thank
You We have tried to imagine you reading this letter-wondering if we
have been able to communicate our joy in the prospect of being parents to your
baby. We hope that these few paragraphs and some photos will give you a glimpse
into our lives and what a safe, loving and joyful home we promise to provide your
child. Please know how much we appreciate that you have considered
us and know that we will do everything we can for your child. We feel adoption
gives us and you the chance to know that your child will be nurtured to become
a healthy, caring, happy and peaceful person. We look forward to being able to
tell your child about you and the brave, unselfish, and loving decision you made
for them. We also want you to know that we intend to make sure your
baby knows what a difficult and brave decision you made for them by making an
adoption plan. You will always be loved and valued for that. Thank you for learning
more about us. We wish you the very best as you make this difficult decision,
and we hope that you always know how much we respect your journey.
