Best friends who enjoy having fun and making each other laugh is the best way to describe us. We know our home is perfect for a child and we hope you think so too. We are so excited to begin our family through adoption and we thank you for considering us as we hope to fulfill this wish.

Hello,

We would like to start by introducing ourselves. This is a very important time in all of our lives, and we want to approach it together with strength, understanding, and support.

What it means for us to be Parents ...

We have so much love, opportunity, and security to give and we are looking forward to sharing that with a child for years to come. We are confident that we have the common sense, strength and determination to raise a child with positive values, good morals and lots of love.

We plan to encourage our child to be a strong, independent, hard-working, happy and responsible person, just as we were taught as children.

We believe that open communication is extremely important, and we will strive for that each day. As parents, we will be fully supportive and will provide guidance when decisions need to be made.

We will always be open and honest with our child about their adoption story and how they came to be a part of our family.

Getting to know Us...

We met through mutual friends between our high school and college years. While we enjoyed each other's company, we went our separate ways after that until years later.

At a barbeque with the same exact friends (do you believe it?!) we met again. We were instantly attracted to each other's outgoing personalities and sense of humor. We began dating and have been happily married for over 13 wonderful years now (although it seems like just yesterday that we met).

We love spending time with our friends. Both of us keep in touch with lifelong friends from our childhood, while we also have a large group of friends from high school, college and beyond. Some of our favorite times are when we get together with friends. Most of them have children and they can’t wait to have our child join the group.

More About Us...

We are a very fun, outgoing, energetic, and happy couple with lots of love to give to a child. Some things that we enjoy doing together are playing tennis, bike riding, taking walks on a weekend afternoon, or enjoying a quiet night at home watching a movie. We love to laugh and simply have fun in everything that we do. People always comment that we work so well together as a team!

We also went for a ride later that day. We love to go on long bike rides on the weekend.

Dave Says...

Lynne is such a warm and loving person who so much wants to be a mother. She loves to laugh and I am thankful that she enjoys my crazy sense of humor and my jokes. Lynne tells me how lucky I am to be married to someone who can appreciate my teasing – especially about her ever-changing hair styles (which you'll notice throughout this profile)!

Making music with Alex and our Godson Benjamin (hold you ears)!

Lynne worked in child care consulting for years where she provided training and safety screening to Family Child Care Providers. She has moved into the area of educational consulting in schools and now works with teachers and students on a computer writing program. Lynne is completing her teaching certification for elementary school which will allow her to have the same work schedule as Dave – giving them both summers to spend with their child fulltime. She can’t wait!

Children of all ages absolutely love Lynne – she has that kind of personality that makes children flock to her…as you can see.

More about Lynne...

Lynne loves to work in the garden planting flowers and trimming shrubs in the summer and loves to entertain family and friends all year long. She has fond memories of cooking with her mother on many holidays.

Our Godson Benjamin loves to come over to our house (who can blame him)

One year, Lynne and her mother cooked Thanksgiving dinner in one day for almost 20 people and it was amazing! I am lucky that both my wife and mother-in-law are great cooks -- I tell them that all of the time.

Friendship and loyalty are very important to Lynne. She and her friends hang out and chat and laugh for hours. Lynne also loves decorating, reading, most music (especially The Goo Goo Dolls, The Counting Crows, and Green Day), travel and almost any kind of movie. She can’t wait to share her love of reading and music with our child.

“Lynne is such a cute, warm, and funny person. I am truly lucky to have found someone who is so kind, affectionate, and caring. I can’t wait for her to share her love, creativity, and interests with our child. Lynne will be an amazing mom!”

Dave and some school students having a bit of fun between classes

Lynne Says...

Dave is so much fun to be around, that he keeps everyone smiling all of the time. He is always walking around the house singing something – usually off-tune and making up the words. It is so funny – it's like playing “Name that Tune.” He is also the most kind and considerate person to everyone around him.

Dave is a wonderful fourth grade elementary school teacher and he loves every minute of it! Dave gets a kick out of seeing the excitement on the children's faces as they learn. The fellow teachers in his school say that he was born to be a teacher - and the kids just love him.

The summer break from school is great. While Dave still tutors some students, we get to enjoy a greater quantity of time together due to our flexible schedules. As parents, we look forward to spending the summer enjoying ice cream cones, bike riding and building sand castles in the summertime together with our child.

More about Dave...

Dave loves playing racquetball and enjoys watching and/or playing most sports. He often competes in local racquetball tournaments and I go to cheer him on. Dave can't wait to put a racquetball racket in our baby's hand as soon as his/her grip is strong enough.

Dave and his cousin Mark like to play basketball when they get together

Friendship and trust are very important to Dave. He keeps in close touch with a group of college friends who always get together to go to football and baseball games, and even play basketball. Dave also enjoys movies (mostly action and sports – of course), playing tennis, and doing anything outside.

“Dave is such a caring, responsible, and compassionate person. The things that I love about him are his sense of humor and his love for music, which I can’t wait for him to teach our child. Dave will be a wonderful and loving father!”

Family and Traditions . . .

Family is extremely important to us. We both grew up with one older brother, each of whom still lives close-by. We are also the aunt and uncle to several nieces and nephews and have tons of cousins of all ages. We get together frequently for family dinners to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. Dave's mom always has her camera in her hand and takes pictures everywhere we go. We look forward to continuing these traditions when we’re parents.

We made our formal living room into a game room with a foosball table, a basketball hoop, and air hockey. You can see that it always keeps our nephews entertained. We can’t wait until our child can take on the older cousins!

Our Home and Neighborhood . . .

We can't wait to share our home with a child. When we got married and wanted to buy a home, we wanted to be in a town with friendly neighbors and children. We remember how important that was to us when we were growing up. There is a soccer field down the street where we watch our nephew Alex play soccer, and a terrific park nearby where we have had lots of fun with our family. When we’re parents we look forward to sharing these fun times with our child.

We admire you...

for having the strength and courage to take this journey. We have so much more to share with you and we would love the opportunity to get to know you. We hope that by getting to know us better, it will help you to feel more content with your decision. We are here for you for support, understanding, a helping hand and an open heart. We look forward to talking with you and sharing this journey.

This has been put together for you with hope and compassion so that you can begin to get to know us and our family. Our understanding, support and love for each other has grown deeper and stronger and we look forward to providing years of hugs, kisses and love to a child.

. . . . . . we would love to hear from you. Our Warmest Wishes, Lynne & Dave
