For some of us, FIA is the place where our families began and where we found an end to our quest to become parents. For others, FIA is the place where we were able to grow our families larger. For grandparents, FIA is the place and the people who brought a beloved grandchild or grandchildren into their lives. FIA has always been and will continue to be -- about families.

We encourage you to consider a family approach to your campaign contribution. Already, some of our most significant pledges have come from entire families, not just individuals. Parents have asked grandparents and other extended family members to join together in a family pledge – creating a larger gift to FIA than they had thought possible. Some parents have said they would love their children honored by campaign pledges instead of presents. Please consider asking others in your family to pitch in!

For deeply personal reasons, I support this capital campaign. Because of FIA, we have 2 truly wonderful grandchildren who adore their Grammie and Grampie and with whom we have an extraordinarily special bond. After 4 kids and 8 other grandkids, I have a much deeper feeling and appreciation for the preciousness and beauty of children. I cannot talk about them much without getting teary.

I want to give back to FIA. I want to make sure that FIA can continue building families for generations to come – that many more families will get to feel the same strong love and affection and special bonding that we have enjoyed so much. It is a feeling that cannot be beat!
