Daddy Squared interviews Friends in Adoption

dads and kids

Recently, Friends in Adoption was interviewed by Daddy Squared, an all-about gay parenting podcast hosted by Alex Maghen and Yan Dekel. The episode focused on providing adoption information to their guest cohosts, Stephen Horn and Spencer Barnes, who are a couple in the initial steps of starting the adoption process. Alex, Yan, Spencer, and Stephen interviewed Friends in Adoption about the many aspects of the adoption process — including the different types of adoption (agency, private, or foster care system), the financial expectations of an adoption process, and the rights of pregnant individuals considering making an adoption plan — and many other interesting questions revolving around adoption by same-sex couples.

Alex and Yan spoke with two members of the Friends in Adoption team — Tara Saltis and Jean-Charles DeOliveira Scappaticci.

Tara is the Executive Director of Friends in Adoption. Tara works closely with the Friends in Adoption team to make sure that every pregnant individual is supported and educated about their options so they can make informed decisions. She also aims to ensure the process is as efficient and affordable as possible for prospective adoptive parents.

Jean-Charles, who with his husband also adopted three children with the help of Friends in Adoption, handles all aspects of digital marketing and website development for Friends in Adoption including guiding families through the process of developing prospective adoptive family profiles.
