One of the biggest and most helpful adoption education events of the year is coming up on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. The Adoptive Parents Committee, Inc. (APC) is proud to announce its 36th Annual APC Adoption Conference. More than 500 people are expected to attend this all-day event. There will be more than 70 workshops given in five sessions.
Are you looking for a chance to meet other adoptive parents and families? Are you interested in adopting? The Adoptive Parents Committee has the event for you!
APC’s annual conference serves to promote a better awareness and understanding of adoption and provide members with accurate information concerning adoption and parenting issues. Conference participants will have the opportunity to attend numerous workshops, seminars, lectures and panel discussions. Led by professionals and experts in the adoption field including attorneys, social workers, adoptive parents, agency representatives, adoptees, educators, and physicians, the workshops provide up-to-date information as well as a forum for discussions.
Dawn Smith Pliner, founding director of Friends in Adoption (FIA), and annual APC conference presenter, will be offering sessions on open adoption and agency adoption. Please stop by the FIA table to say hello to Dawn and the FIA team!
