Our Family & Friends
Family and friends play an important role in our lives, offering love, encouragement, and a strong sense of belonging. Though many of our loved ones live in different places, we stay closely connected and are grateful for the community that surrounds and supports us.
Cody’s Family & Friends
Cody has a close-knit family and a supportive circle of friends. Family gatherings during holidays and vacations with aunts, uncles, and cousins are a cherished tradition.
His dad, Glenn, lives near Dallas, TX, with his wife, Keena, and they love going on adventures together. We often try to join them on cruises whenever we can.
Cody was incredibly close to his late mother, Tracie, who played a significant role in shaping who he is today.
His younger brother, Franklin, lives in Kansas with his wife and two young boys, and they have also adopted their younger cousin, reflecting the family’s strong bonds and commitment to one another.
Cody makes an effort to spend time with his chosen family whenever possible.
Cody’s best friend, Justin, a dedicated middle school band director from Memphis, TN, holds a special place in our lives and is expected to be a future godparent to the child who joins our family, a role that reflects a bond built on many years of friendship.
Cody has also maintained many meaningful, cherished friendships formed during his time in marching band and orchestra while in college in Lafayette, LA, and Memphis, TN.
Tanner’s Family & Friends
Tanner grew up in Northeast Arkansas, surrounded by a large family and lifelong friends from grade school. Despite the distance, this close-knit group continues to offer unwavering support.
His parents, Ryan and Christy, enjoy traveling and look forward to being actively involved grandparents in the near future.
Tanner’s best friend, Ashton, who frequently visits New England, has also been chosen as the future godmother to the child who joins our lives, reflecting our deep, mutual trust and shared connections.
We have formed a strong support network with Tanner’s many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Together, everyone makes it a tradition to gather and vacation together several times a year, reinforcing the value of shared responsibility, care, and connection. It takes a village to raise a child!
Our Friends
Over the past two years, we’ve built a strong, vibrant, and welcoming community in New England that truly feels like home. Many of our closest friendships have grown through work, volunteering on local projects, and spending time together outside of our daily routines. Giving back to the area we love is very important to us, and in the process, it deepens our connections and strengthens our network of support.
Our neighbors have welcomed us warmly, inviting us to local events, sharing tips on favorite hiking trails, and exchanging recipes over dinner.
By taking part in local groups and activities, from book clubs to trivia nights, we’ve embraced the culture and landscapes of New England while forming meaningful relationships. This network of friends has become an important part of our lives and adds to the sense of connection and fulfillment we feel in our community.
