My Circle
My Family
Mom — My mom, Marilyn, a true ‘animal whisperer’, has a heart of gold. We have a strong relationship and see each other weekly. As a retired Human Resources professional, living in North Jersey just outside NYC, she is eager to be a doting grandmother (again). A single mother for half of my childhood, she was a fantastic role model of independence and interdependence. My dad was a caring man with a strong work ethic. Though no longer with us, he was overjoyed about me having a family.
Brother — Mitch is a super hands-on dad to my two nephews and niece. I couldn’t be prouder of his dedication to his family. He is also an accomplished real estate professional. We spend holidays and birthdays together, as well the kids recitals, graduations, and baseball games. They are in South New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia.
Cousin Jill — Jill is thoughtful, generous, and caring, and is the mother of four biological and adopted children. With her husband Gary, their four daughters, and Lois, Jill’s mother, a big embrace awaits the child I adopt. We get together a lot throughout the year, for fun museum and foodie adventures in Manhattan or Brooklyn, and gather for holidays at their Connecticut home.
My Friends
Amelia lives nearby in Manhattan and she, her husband, and Belle are like family.
Hilary is like the sister I’d always wanted growing up and our friendship has spanned twenty three years. She and her husband Bryan are the parents of three energetic boys. I love visiting them on weekends and holidays, at their home in along the Hudson River just outside NYC.
My close friends who live within walking distance are Elaine, Pam and her husband Miki, Christiana and Bruce, and Elise.
