“In our relationship, Rich is my rock. Every single day, he loves unconditionally, has the ability to bring ‘sunshine on rainy days,’ and somehow can always center me, regardless of what challenges we are facing. I feel so fortunate to have found my person, especially as we take this next step to expand our family.
To friends, Rich is endlessly supportive, has a listening ear, remembers the ‘little’ details, and is the one everybody goes to for advice.
To the family, Rich is the connector, a role model and mentor, and the one who brings everybody together, whether for a holiday or celebration — or for no reason.
Regardless of the role Rich plays in others’ lives, the common thread is that he loves deeply, centers others’ needs, and brings an unmatched warmth and sense of joy to every relationship, conversation, and interaction he is a part of. Throughout his entire life, Rich has always been a giver, thinking of the needs of his family and friends first and foremost. This selfless nature has always been one of the attributes I admire most in him.
As we look to become parents, I have no doubt Rich will transition easily (as much as any new parent can) into his new role as a father. Simply put, Rich is a caretaker at heart. Whether with his younger siblings, our niece, nephew, or our friends’ little ones, Rich consistently shows up, acts with patience, focuses on their needs, and loves to no end.
While I don’t assume it’ll be easy, I’m excited to watch as Rich steps into this new role and naturally supports, guides, teaches, loves, and leans into being the best parent he possibly can.”
